How do I store Belly Scratches & Bizkits Dog Biscuits, Pup-pastries and Cat treats?
Belly Scratches & Bizkit's treats are made without any preservatives and should be treated like a baked goods for human consumption.
Store biscuits and cookies in a cool, dry place. Consume before the best date. They also do well in the freezer for up to 2 months. Thaw for 30 minutes before giving it to your pup. for decorated biscuits, coloring may bleed.
The shelf life for pup-pastries is 5-7 days in the refrigerator, but hopefully, they are devoured immediately.
How does local pick-up work?
We offer local pick-up for nearby neighbors. We ask for a lead time of 3 days for cakes and 5 days for larger orders. Unfortunately, we can not provide next-day service for most orders. Choose your date & time for pickup. Once your order is ready, you will receive an email confirmation and details for pick-up.
How long before my order ships?
Belly Scratches & Bizkits dog and cat treats are freshly baked to order. Biscuits will be shipped 5-7 business days from the order received.
Can I order a custom cake flavor?
Yes, we can accommodate custom cupcakes, pup-pastries, or cake orders. Please contact Hello@BellyscratchesandBizkits.com, and we can give you a quote depending on what you are looking for!
How do I Order for local delivery?
At check out there will be two options Shipping and Pickup. Select Shipping, enter your address and the Delivery option will appear. Delivery is only for select local zip codes and nothing beyond 15 miles from our Barkery Kitchen in Broussard.
Where are Belly Scratches & Bizkits treats made?
Our treats are handcrafted in small batches, baked, and packaged in a home kitchen in Broussard, LA. All treats are tested and approved by our in-house Taste tester extraordinaire's Soda, (previously approved by Dusty) and Misty. The Kraft packaging we use is Recyclable and food safe.
Belly Scratches and Bizkits, LLC complies with the LA Food and Agriculture Department. Our Products are considered Feed. Our products are tested, registered, and comply with State regulations.
How long will it take to receive my order after it has been shipped?
Local orders will be shipped 5-7 days once an order is received. All other orders are shipped through the United States Postal Service (USPS). Once an order is placed, we put on our aprons and start baking. Once the order is complete and shipped, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with a tracking number.
What are your shipping rates?
Rates vary with zip codes, and we use regular shipping based on weight to keep costs down. Due to the increase in postage. We do not ship to Hawaii or Alaska (sorry, friends).
Why are bakery items only shipped Monday through Wednesday?
Since our bakery products (pies, cakes, donuts, etc.), whether for cats or dogs, do not contain preservatives, we want to ensure treats are shipped to you promptly and to avoid being held at the post office over the weekend/ during holidays.
What if my treats are damaged during shipping
Since we rely on USPS to ship our products, we don't have control over minor damage. We have tested the treats for shipping to ensure your goodies will arrive safely, we also package them with care, but sometimes things happen along the way. Reach out to us and show us what happened. We will try to work with you on a solution.
