Our Story

 

We are a family-owned business.

Every order that is placed with us results in happy dances. When I say “we,” it’s myself, my two 2nd graders, Eva & Lianna, my son Darien, and my furry baby Soda. It supports what we love to do: bake cute and tasty treats for our furry family + friends and celebrate every moment.

Our Dogs and Cats make our family complete. We bake human-grade quality treats for our fur friends because every family member deserves a great treat from time to time.

Buying treats for dogs and cats can be a bit daunting with all those unknown ingredients and pet brand recalls. Your pet might not even like those treats or it may upset their little tummies as it did with our Dusty the pom. That’s why it became our mission to bake fresh treats for our pets, we know exactly what is going into their food and you will too. Our goal is to provide yummy and healthy treats to celebrate every day with your pet.

    Baking for fur friends has been my love and joy. You can find me baking in the early hours of the morning. I’m a Business development manager & systems integrator, and baker with a passion for animals. I also love to travel and work in the garden. Currently residing in Broussard, LA, with my loving husband, three kids, a dog, cat, hamster, and chicken.

    CHIEF BARKING OFFICER

    She is a breath of fresh air with her sweet and vivacious personality. Any dog treat that we offer, Soda has approved with two paws and booped nose. Soda is a power chewer and snuggler. Passionate about her toys, her clothes, and her bed. She only recommends the best products that are comfortable, durable, and stylish.

  • Misty

    Executive Moewkting Manager

    Misty’s schedule consists of mostly outdoor lounging, lurking, a pat of a toy, and testing cat treats. Since Misty is very busy she can not be bothered with anything less than a magnificent treat. Misty is a picky eater so we offer a handful select of flavors that are Savory, crunchy, and delicate. All of our cat treats and cakes have passed Misty’s swaying of the tail and Purring approval.

  • Dusty

    VISIONARY + INSPIRATION

    Dusty 12.15.04 - 11.20.18 our inspiration and best friend crossed the rainbow bridge on 11-2018. He lived a long life, almost 14 years full of travel, adventure, great meals, and bountiful love. You are greatly missed and will be in our hearts forever.

    We started Belly Scratches and Bizkits for Dusty. His friends came over whenever their parents went on vacation, needed to catch up with work or friends. Sometimes even just for a playdate. We opened up our home, had doggie play activities throughout the day, and loved every moment of it. When we said “see ya later” they were given freshly baked treats to go. Hence the Belly scratches and Bizkits.

Foster a furbabe

We often collaborate with local businesses, and during one event, we partnered with Keaty Real Estate & Acadiana Animal Aid. That’s when we met Soda, a gentle chocolate lab mix.

Our family decided to foster Soda, and we fell in love, so we adopted her. We hope You can consider fostering fur babies.
